Philosophy of Teaching:

Knowing how to play a musical instrument with confidence is a fulfilling and enjoyable ability. As a music teacher, I would like to help students to develop confidence to play instruments, to enjoy music, and to share their beautiful music with other people. I feel very excited to teach music. It is about exploration, experimentation and creation. I love introducing fun games and activities into lessons to inspire and enhance student’s passion for music.

Music is meant to be shared. My students and I get together either virtually or in-person to have a studio music concert every half year. From 2020, due to COVID-19, I started to offer virtual online lesson. To help students and parents to learn at home efficiently, I made practicing videos for students and parents. I have also made virtual concert videos for my students to improve their motivation to study and to share my passion. My virtual lessons have been very successful with these materials. To me, the most rewarding part of teaching is to see students’ development and to be with them to guide each step of the music experience!
